ummm y dont we use something that everyone already has like Windows live or raptr

xfire is more advanced and it helps see what we are doing and status

mm windows live ftw i cant use that stuff

raptr can be conneceted to facebook Xbox live PSN PC based games cellphones allows you to import all other IM contacts to it

xfire douse all that and you can use voice chat as well like skype

is it free and can you set up a custom profile(like facebook,myspace,.etc) on there website

Its also Totally free and you can download games off it and you can make a profile and it keeps track of your account lvls and kdr and ranks and show if your afk or anything like that

I can see where you would choose xfire because of the gaming options, but for the purpose of actually getting in touch with each other it is much more effective to use a regular IM client.
If everyone would post their AIM, MSN, or Yahoo it would be much more effective. Or, we could even get ebuddys. You can link aim, google, yahoo, msn, facebook, myspace, and others on one account, and there is no software. It is the one of the best IM services out there.
